Harold “Sonny” Gordon graduated BBHS in 1954. He went on to study at McGill University where he received both a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Civil Law degrees. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University, and attended the Wharton Graduate School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania.
Gordon became a ministerial assistant to Maurice Sauvé, a Cabinet Minister in the Trudeau government. He was also a managing partner of Stikeman Elliott LLP. Since 2001 he has been Chairman and a Director of Dundee Corporation, previously being Vice-Chairman of Hasbro Inc. From 2002 to 2012, Gordon served as President of the Jeanne Sauvé Foundation as well as Chairman of the Sauvé Scholars Foundation.
He also sat on the Board of Directors of Dundee Corporation, Transcontinental Limited, Dorel Industries Limited, Pethealth Inc., Madacy Holdings Inc. as well as SFK Pulp. He is Special Advisor to the Board of SkyPower, a leading independent Canadian renewable energy developer.
