Upon graduating from BBHS in 1950, Benjamin Greenberg attended McGill University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1954 and a Bachelor of Civil Law in 1957 with with first class honours.
After being called to the Quebec Bar in 1959, Greenberg has worked in various capacities throughout his career in law. He was appointed to the Quebec Superior Court in 1976, where he served for more than 22 years. He was also Chairman of the National Arbitration Practice Group with Stikeman Elliott LLP where he was primarily active in international arbitration. Since 2013, Greenberg works in arbitration and meditation for the firm Greenberg Arbitration and Mediation Services or “GAMS”.
In addition to the Quebec Bar, Greenberg is a member of the Canadian and International Bar Associations as well as the Canadian Judges Conference. He is also a member of the Arbitration and Mediation Institute of Canada and the London Court of International Arbitration. Greenberg is one of only twenty-five Canadians who are recognized by The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers in the area of Commercial Arbitration. He was named Montreal International Arbitration Lawyer of the Year by “The Best Lawyers in Canada” 2013.
